Cuomo has quickly instated new regulations for their protection. Effective October 6, nail salon owners are required to post a wage bond, ensuring that their employees will be paid fairly. The wage bond mandate has been met with opposition and resistance from nail salon owners. Their main concerns are where to purchase the bond, how much it will cost and why they need it.
