On Friday, May 9, the Columbia Chamber of Commerce named SuretyBonds.com the Small Business of the Year 2014<\/a>!<\/p>\n

SuretyBonds.com joined the Chamber of Commerce in September of last year. Since joining, our employees have enjoyed attending numerous professional development events hosted by the Chamber. After applying for the honor of Small Business of the Year in February, SuretyBonds.com was announced as one of five finalists<\/a> from a group of approximately 25 applicants on March 4, 2014.<\/p>\n

Last Monday morning, members of the SuretyBonds.com team attended the Chamber’s Small Business Week Kick Off event. Throughout the week, we attended the open houses\/seminars hosted by our fellow Small Business of the Year nominees. Thank you to HoneyBaked Ham Co. & Cafe, The Lawn Company, Monarch Title Company, Inc. and Focus on Health Chiropractic for hosting us! We enjoyed getting to know you and learning more about your companies. SuretyBonds.com hosted our open house event on Thursday, May 8<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The week’s events culminated on Friday at the Chamber’s Small Business of the Year Luncheon at the Tiger Hotel during which SuretyBonds.com was announced Columbia’s Small Business of the Year. SuretyBonds.com Founder & CEO, Josh Kayser, gave a brief speech explaining the beginnings of SuretyBonds.com and how much we’ve grown over the past several years. On Saturday, the Columbia Daily Tribune ran an article recapping the award ceremony<\/a>.<\/p>\n
