On January 24, 2013, the Montana Senate passed SB 93, which is currently being reviewed by the House.
If enacted, SB 93 would add mortgage servicers to the existing provisions outlining which acts of mortgage professionals may trigger a claim on the license bond required under existing law. Additionally, the bond requirement would be reiterated in the text of the bill.
Sen. Gene Vuckovich sponsors SB 93, which can be read in its entirety here.
The bill was passed on to the Montana House of Representatives for review on January 25, 2013. Check back with the Surety Bond Insider for updates.
