The William J. Angell Surety School offers expert and comprehensive training for surety professionals with varying levels of knowledge and expertise. This prestigious education program provides an opportunity to establish professional relationships with industry peers. Level I is intended for the novice producer, in-house bond department support staff and those new to the industry. Students receive an overview of the surety industry, financial statement analysis, submissions to surety companies, commercial surety and claims handling, as well as an introduction to work-in-progress.
Level II is intended for the new in-the-field bond producer with one to six years of experience. The curriculum includes intensive training in: contractor profiling, financial analysis, concepts and effective practices of account activation and service, sales and marketing, claims handling, industry marketplace changes and ethics.
The winter session will be held at the Renaissance Houston Greenway Plaza Hotel in Houston, Texas, on the following dates:
- Level I: January 22 – 25, 2012
- Level II: January 22 – 27, 2012
