U.S. Treasury Releases Annual Surety Providers List

The U.S. Treasury has released an annual surety providers list

The Federal Information & News Dispatch, Inc., has released the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s annual list of approved surety providers that can issue federal surety bonds.

The list does not include surety brokerage companies who refer clients to surety underwriters. Only companies that issue surety bonds according to Title 31 of the United States Code, Sections 9304 to 9308 or as reinsurers on federal bonds under 31 CFR 223.3(b) were included on the list.

According to the July 4 press release,

“This Circular is published annually for the information of Federal bond-approving officers and persons required to give bonds to the United States consistent with 31 CFR 223.16. Copies of the Circular and interim changes may be obtained directly from the internet at http://www.gpoaccess.gov or from the Government Printing Office (202) 512-1800.”

The list includes the addresses of all qualified companies as well as the states in which each is permitted to issue bonds.
