How much does an athlete agent bond cost in Oklahoma?
The Oklahoma Secretary of State requires those wishing to become athletic agents to file a $50,000 surety bond. These bonds are subject to underwriting, which means the amount applicants pay for their bond is based on a review of their personal credit reports. Applicants with strong financial credentials could qualify for a 1% rate, or just $500.

Why do I need this bond?
Oklahoma athletic agents must obtain a surety bond in compliance with the Oklahoma Uniform Athlete Agents Act. The bond protects any person harmed by the principal (athletic agent). The surety will pay up to the full bond amount to the harmed party in order to settle the claim, at which point the athletic agent must reimburse the surety.
