Kentucky telemarketing company bonds ensure that principals (telemarketing companies) comply with all provisions of KRS 367.46951 to 367.46999, which is also known as the Telephone Solicitations Act. If the principal fails to adhere to these terms, a claim can be filed against the bond. If the claim is validated, the surety will cover financial losses suffered by harmed parties as a result of the principal’s business practices up to the full bond amount, and the principal must reimburse the surety for damages paid out.

What’s the fine print?
Kentucky telemarketing company bonds remain in full force and effect until violated by the principal or canceled by the surety. The surety can cancel the bond at any time by filing a written notice of cancellation with the Attorney General via certified mail 30 days prior to the effective date of the termination.
Kentucky charges a surcharge of 1.8% on all bonds issued.
How to become a telemarketing company in Kentucky
At least 10 days before doing business in Kentucky as a telemarketing company, applicants must file a completed Registration Statement, a $50,000 surety bond, and the $300 registration fee. Registration is valid for 1 year from the registration date and can be renewed annually by filing a new registration statement, bond, and a $50 filing fee.
All completed forms should be mailed to the Office of the Attorney General in Frankfort, Kentucky.
