How much does a professional fundraiser bond cost in New Mexico?
The Attorney General of New Mexico requires professionals who solicit contributions for charitable organizations to post $25,000 professional fundraiser surety bonds.
These bonds are subject to underwriting, so the amount you’ll pay for your bond depends on a review of your personal credit report. Our surety experts work hard to make sure that you’re bonded quickly, easily and accurately. Apply for a free bond quote now!
Why do I need this bond?
New Mexico professional fundraiser bonds are put in place to ensure that principals (professional fundraisers) fully comply with the provisions listed in New Mexico Charitable Solicitations Act, 57-22 et seq. and the rules and regulations adopted thereunder, as well as all of the laws of the state and the rules and regulations of the Registrar of Charitable Organizations.
If the principal fails to adhere to these terms, a claim can be filed against the bond for the repayment of harmed parties up to the full bond amount. The professional fundraiser, in turn, must reimburse the surety for any damages paid out.
