How to Get a Combative Sports Promoter License in Tennessee

Complete your application online through the Department of Insurance licensing portal

  1. Login or create an account at core.tn.gov  
  2. Submit a copy of your Driver’s License
  3. Provide a headshot in color
  4. File a $25,000 surety bond
  5. Pay the $550 license and application fee

Once you have your license, you can apply for contest permits from the commission separately. Apply at least 30 days before the contest date. Permit applications take about 5 business days to process and approve.
